Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her movie Piano won her an Oscar. Actresses have a long history of working on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other initiatives. She has always had an interest in acting since when she was in the school. The first time she appeared in a production in fifth grade was Helen Keller. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost her hearing in her left ear. But she didn't let it stop her from performing. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved to Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter was stuck in an elevator with the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. When she moved to Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure an acting role as a support in Swing Shift. Her professional career spans over 30 years, and she's been featured in many TV movies or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
